Welcome to our website!

Thanks for stopping by. With all that's changing in our family, we thought it would be a good idea to create a website where friends and family can keep in touch and share in our latest family moments. We will be updating with news of the day (not every day!), milestones worth noting, pictures, slideshows, and anything else we can think of sharing this way.

Talk to you soon!

Jack and Arlo cam to visit in August and Bix could not have been more thrilled. The trip started off with a visit from Nana Gwen and Grandad Oscar, a little relaxing at the Gleason household, and then off to Santa Cruz and San Francisco for some sight-seeing. Arlo wanted to see the redwoods and the golden gate bridge during this visit, so off we went to do just that. The RV fit everyone just perfectly and Bix had the best time following Jack and Arlo around, being one of the big boys.

Bix having a snuggle with Arlo on the couch before nap time.

Visiting the giant artichoke

Off to Henry Cowell State Park for some redwood exploration and a few nights camping. Nana had fun exploring with her boys.

It's all fun and games until someone....

....jumps onto a stump in which hornets decided to make their home. Arlo and Jack discovered that bees do not like to be disturbed by rambunctious hikers...Arlo ended up stripping down to escape the stings. Fortunately, the sting only lasted a few hours and all bites were gone by morning.

Jack and Bix cooking for Grandad and Mommy...pancakes I believe.

Grandad teaching the boys how to light a fire.

Off to the railroad...Arlo found himself in Jail, Bix became sheriff and Jack collected the tickets.

There was a barn all the kids fit in while waiting for the train.

Jack ever the climber

Ready to head up to bear mountain...everyone have their cheesy smile? Oh good, I see that you do!

Off we go....

Bix examining the engine with a hand on Nana  to keep him feeling safe.

The excitement must have worn him out...that and the rumbling of the train is the perfect lullaby.

Still sleeping...

The gang minus Mommy (the photographer) and still a sleeping Bixby

Next morning it was off for a hike...the most exciting part this time (no bees thankfully) the water spigot at the top of the mountain.

On our way to the Golden Gate Bridge....through a lot of traffic...

...at least Bix only missed the boring part....

...and finally we arrived...on one of the foggiest days...but Arlo and Jack didn't mind...they strutted all the way to the center and back.

And it was back to Pescadero for our last night of camping at Castenoa's where the boys frolicked and rolled around in the big adjacent field.

The last Day with Jack and Arlo, Bix headed to Cambria for some Nana and Grandad time. Nana took everyone to the fort beach where they climbed big rocks...some of them more clothed than others...and poked their fingers in the giant sea anemones.

What fun...we can't wait to hang out again!
