Bix's new winter coat and fall fun

Thanks to GiGi and PopPop, Bix has a great new winter coat. He is the cutest pea in a pod and it keeps him super warm. We have been playing outside a lot when it isn't raining.

So we all got glammed up...well not really glammed...dressed?....no, not that either...we all made sure our outfits didn't clash one day and met with Maren at applemoon photography for a mini photo shoot to commemorate Bixby's first year and get some good family pics. It was an overcast day at Avila, which made for some good lighting. Here are some of our favorites.

It's been a while

OK...so it's been a little while since the last post. Bix has dropped down to 1 nap a day so screen time is much more limited. We had a great Halloween at our friend's house. Bix was Curious George and Brian was the man in the big yellow hat. I went as Jane Goodall to stay in quasi-theme. There is a picture of all three of us out there...but it was taken by our friends who just had a baby on Saturday, so the picture will likely be a little while coming. Anyways, here's Bix and Dad before we headed out to the shindig.

We have also had some great sunny November days - gotta love California! We discovered the park in DT paso - they have a play structure just his size. Of course the acorns are still his favorite thing to play with - must get that from Grandad!

And we have been playing more in the front and backyard as Bix gets more and more steady on his feet. He loves playing with his push toys out front and of course trying to turn on the hose. He also found a cutting of white sage to play with one day - another cue from Grandad!

So here we are out back - chasing chickens and toddling around as best we can. He loves transferring dirt from one pot to another and he discovered the circular log hoop that became a climbing structure for the afternoon. Of course we have to eat a little dirt to keep it real :). And again another hose!
