Morro Bay Kite Festival 2012

We went to the Morro Bay kite festival this year. Bix had fun...and the kite stunts were amazing

YAY John Deere!

OK...so yes, we should have done this a long time ago....it makes life sooooo easy and Bix will not be consumed by and lost in the weeds again.....and thanks!!!!! to my parents, we are now the proud owners of a John Deere ride-on lawn mower....and it's awesome!

Bix got to play with Nana...getting all dirty rolling around on the newly cut lawn.

And we put him to work too.

Although he aspires to bigger and better.

La Brea Tar Pits and a visit with the Farmers

We spent part of a week with Nana Gwen and Grandad Oscar and while we were there, we saw our friend Scotty who was in town for a conference. Bix had a great time roaming the gardens at the grandparent's house and slept like a champ...although I didn't get much sleep as he confiscated all the pillows.

We wen to the zoo with Siya and Kiyana and Bix had a great time. Kiyana is one of Bix's faves....he goes for blonds!

We all had a go at painting Bix's tower...it was getting a little grimy just as bare wood...Bix had fun painting in his special painting shirt...it helped that it matched Mommy's too.

Hangin' with the neighbors goats

On a lovely March day, Bix and I went to see the neighbor's goats up the street. Not only is he the cutest boy in the world (hee-hee), but the goats were all about playing it up for us as well. The mamas had just had their babies and the daffodils had just bloomed.
