Welcome to our website!

Thanks for stopping by. With all that's changing in our family, we thought it would be a good idea to create a website where friends and family can keep in touch and share in our latest family moments. We will be updating with news of the day (not every day!), milestones worth noting, pictures, slideshows, and anything else we can think of sharing this way.

Talk to you soon!

Daddy Day

Bix and Daddy headed down to Pismo to see the butterflies and hang at the beach for the morning. Bix had such a great time. Bix climbed on "wood" (as he tells it) and they made foot towers...which were then knocked over of course. It was a warm day at the coast so the butterflies were all a flutter.

Climbing up trees and splashing in puddles

We know Bix is a climber...thankfully a rather cautious and thoughtful climber...but a climber none the less. He finally decided to shimmy up the Chitalpa in the front yard and was so proud of himself. It's the perfect size tree...for mommy and daddy...he can't get too high. He would like it to be bigger I'm sure!

Then we splashed around in some puddles left by the recent rains. Thank goodness for shoes you can get wet!

A visit from GiGi and PopPop

GiGi and PopPop came for a visit and Bix was over the moon with PopPop...his new favorite. He had to show PopPop everything and they played in his room for hours. It was definitely a treat to see him so enamored! He took GiGi and PopPop on a tour of the back yard, showed off his tractor climbing skills, and took us all to the park for a little play and fun.

A Friday Afternoon at Nana and Grandad's

Another beautiful day at the coast so we went to visit Nana and Grandad. Bix loves making sure all the bird feeders and full and that all the plants have been watered. H is a great helper. Then, when all the chores were done, we headed down to Bix's favorite tide pool beach to find creatures lurking in all the little pools and indentations. Bix won't quite touch a sea anemone with his fingers yet, but he likes when mommy does it. And of course throwing rocks into the pools is great fun. He is also becoming a very confident climber (and fortunately a careful and cautious one as well) and he loved climbing all the boulders at the beach that were just his size.

Rockin' around the Christmas Tree

Christmas with a 2-year-old..need I say more? Bix finally got the idea behind Santa this year and was very excited that he was coming to visit. He had seen some trucks in a store about 3 week prior to the big day...there was a lot of crying when we had to leave the store without them...and a few days after, a lady at the post office asked Bix what Santa was going to bring him.  He quickly replied "trash truck car carrier both". To which I replied "Santa only brings one gift to each child". This did not stick and Bix was insistent that Santa would come through for him, bringing him both the trash truck and car carrier. Well, thanks to Auntie Mari, both trucks were present and accounted for Christmas morning. Bix was overjoyed and had the biggest smile on his face...after both were opened and revealed of course.

There was fun to be had by all. Nana Gwen and Grandad Oscar came up and Nana and Grandad were here too. We opened a few gifts, played with a few gifts, then opened some more. Bix was a great help at distributing gifts to their appropriate recipients. Everyone had a great time and it was so special to have 4 generations in the house celebrating together. We can't wait for next year!
