Welcome to our website!

Thanks for stopping by. With all that's changing in our family, we thought it would be a good idea to create a website where friends and family can keep in touch and share in our latest family moments. We will be updating with news of the day (not every day!), milestones worth noting, pictures, slideshows, and anything else we can think of sharing this way.

Talk to you soon!

Some videos to charm you

I caught Bix looking at a picture of my dad in the cabinet the other day and told him "there's Grandad"....well the next day, and many days since, he sees the picture and says "Grandad" in his own little way....so I though I'd share.

And as I mentioned before, riding around in a box is the new hip thing at our place. Here's some box-time fun. Notice the requests for "muh" - or "more" as the big people say.

A few weeks and a lot of cuteness

So...we have ben having a heater installed...which means workmen in our house for almost a week. Of course Bix wanted to climb the ladder and help out int he attic...He can even say attic now. The last day the guys were here hooking everything up, we let Bix explore the ladder. He is cautious with his balance and knows what his limits are. He made it up to the second rung...which I did not get a picture of as I had moved in closer by that time.

Bix has also discovered sitting in boxes and hampers and....the latest love....being pulled around the house inthem by daddy or mommy. The smile on his faces is inspiring....and when you stop, he looks up at you a little confused and says "muh" which is his version of more. I think we need to get this kid a wagon for the backyard!

We also had a day at the park with dadda. Bix made a friend as always and we had a great time in the California winter sun. Bix definately takes after mommy in the swing department...there are lots of calls for "muh" when we swing.

weeee...down the slide
Up really high on the swings
Making a wood chip pile
Peek-a-boo with dad
Oh...and did I mention we got Bix a baby doll....he has been obsessed with babies...pointing them out in every book and playing with baby dolls when we go to friend's houses. He gave it a hug and kiss when we first got it and now he carries it around with him when he plays.

Bix's 2nd Holiday Celebration(s)

We had a great holiday down in Texas with GiGi and PopPop. Although we packed the carry-on bag to the brim with all sorts of toys and food to distract Bix on the plane, he surprised us by sleeping the entire time - both ways! Of course we had hoped and planned the flights for his nap time....but he is such a curiuos lad we thought we might be in for quite a ride. But no...he fell asleep both times on the runway and woke up in Texas right before we landed and after we landed on the flight home. So I guess lugging the 30 pound carry-on wasn't necessary....but you just never know.

Bix checking out the plane prior to take-off

Bix was charming as always. He had a great time playing with GiGi, PopPop, Uncle Nate, and Aunt Aly. He awoke Christmas morning to find the coolest ride on, sound making dump-truck by the fireplace from Santa - Thanks Santa! This was a huge hit. There was lots of love to go around, but I will say that Bix adores his grandmas. They are always at the top of the list and GiGi became Bix's favorite go to snuggler.

And having a chat with GiGi

Oh my...is this for me??

Yes...it is for me!

Who should we get a gift for next PopPop?

One last gotcha!
Then we were on the plane again and back in LA where we celebrated Christmas and Grandad Oscars Birthday. Uncle Bill and Alex (and girlfriend Kristen even stopped by for dinner. We even got to have breakfast with Auntie Carrie and Keii. Nana and Grandad took Bix to the park in the afternoon and gave mommy and daddy some much needed quiet time to relax. We left at night and arrived home to a very cold house and lots of rain. We celebrated the coming of the new year with great friends and are looking forward to a weekend of sunshine.
