Welcome to our website!

Thanks for stopping by. With all that's changing in our family, we thought it would be a good idea to create a website where friends and family can keep in touch and share in our latest family moments. We will be updating with news of the day (not every day!), milestones worth noting, pictures, slideshows, and anything else we can think of sharing this way.

Talk to you soon!

A whole lotta visiting

We started with a trip down south and hung out with the Great Grandparents and Nana and Grandad of course. Bix even got to go to Nana's school and play in the yard with Nana and all her friends young and old. He loved playing in the water, and in the sand...and his favorite was the worm bin where he finally held a worm for the first time. Brian and I had found him plenty in the back yard....but he never quite got up the nerve to hold one. Guess it's something you have to learn at school :).

At Nana's school

Then my parents came up for the weekend and stayed in Cambria for their anniversary. They swung by on Sunday and we walked down to the Montessori school and played in their yard...and came up with some ideas for the toddler area that we are hoping to implement once Bix starts there this September.

Next we traveled up to Stanford to see a pediatric allergist and got to hang with Uncle Nate and Aunt Aly. Bix had his first bowling experience and got a few strikes (with the bumpers up)....although I found out if you let him push the ball down the lane with only Bix power...it doesn't make it all the way to the pins :).

Teeth, teeth, teeth!

So over the last few days...yesterday being the biggest of them all, Bix has welcomed 5 new teeth to his mouth and more are on the way. He is not miserable and is taking it in stride. Maybe all at once will be the best way to go. I can't wait for him to realize what those chompers can really do to food. Just as long as he keeps from biting mommy, daddy, or any other friends and family :).

Hangin' with the Gleasons

GiGi and PopPop came to visit last weekend. The weather was great and GiGi and PopPop got a chance to see Bix in action in his own element. They got to see his obsession with sheep first hand...and GiGi and PopPop made many trips across the street to see the sheep in the few days they were here. And of course there was the re-appearance of the dumptruck that Bix got for Christmas but which was too big to carry back with us on the plane...the smiles were just as big the second time around!

And then a Sunday afternoon walk tot he duck pond up the way with mommy and daddy. Lots of smiles, teething drool on daddy's head, and all around goofiness.

And here's one of Bix going down the slide at the park. He loves to play with his friends and is such a good climber...always smiles!
