This way to the cabin, guys!
And this way to the "lakey lakey"
The girls + Bixby
Bixby and GiGi by the shore

Looking at butterflies that were doing something at the shore...there were quite a few!
We stayed in a rustic house just a short walk from the lake entrance and Bix spent every day splashing and gallivanting along the lake shore. He had no fear of the water but thankfully knew when he was deep enough and would signal for one of us to hold his hand. GiGi and PopPop were always near by ready to play at a moments notice....giving Mama some time to actually read more than a few pages at a time.
Dada and Bix headed to the water slide which was too big for Bix this year.
Playing in the water with GiGi and Pop Pop
The swings were a favorite spot for sure and he cried whenever we tried to take him out. And of course he charmed the ladies....of all ages. Everyone commented on what a social little one he is. His first time out on the boat he got that serious look again...but the second time he knew what was going on and even helped Dada row.
Bix and the lady of the day...at least of the morning. (Mama is still his favorite :))
Chillin' in the boat...notice how he instinctively knows to fling one arm up on the rim.
Borrowing someone's wagon
PopPop....that's not what the boat is for!
Two brothers in a boat....a lot has changed over the years and yet some things have not.
The whole crew packed up one morning and found the old famous Gleason fishing hole. Of course it was a little later in the day before we all got ourselves out the door....so no fish were caught that day, but we did get to see the Fish and Game guy stocking the ditch...so the next morning the boys went out super early and Brian and Doug each caught a fish....you are thinking YAY!....but the big winner of the day was Uncle Nate who brought in 3 fish allowing everyone to have a whole fish for dinner that night.
Bixby touched it and then promptly signed "all done" :)
We even took Bix into town the last night and tried some miniature golfing. I say tried because playing with a 1.5 year old means that he looks at you a little weird for using a stick to hit the ball into the hole and shows you the much easier way to do it...pick it up and put the ball right into the hole...and since there is so much free time after so many holes-in-one, climbing on the obstacles became the true focus of the night.
Bix was sad to say bye-bye to the "lakey lakey". I'm sure he will be taking about it until next year rolls around and we are there doing it all again (yes, this kid does have that good of a memory).

The lifeguards raked the beach area every night so Bix became a champion sand castle stomper.
